News Debenhams closing - losing 12,000 jobs

London, UK
After struggling for months, centuries old retailer Debenhams seems to have called it quits and will close down its stores, affecting 12,000 workers.

The company has thought that they could be saved by JD Sports, but apparently, with Arcadia- their biggest concessions operator - filing for administration, all hope has been lost.

Stores will be emptied tomorrow, as Hilco, a restructuring firm, will perform clearing of stock.

With the recent news from Arcadia, this is an unbelievable end of the year. 25,000 jobs is a huge number, let's hope that nothing else will be added for this year.
