Freight Forwarders/Broker Relationship


I am posting here to receive clarity in regards to how freight brokers can work with freight forwarders who are shipping to the mainland here in the United States. I was told by an ocean carrier that my best bet was for our freight brokerage to work with forwarders! We would like to provide door to door services using transloading to 53ft containers and intermodal out of the Ports of Savannah, Jacksonville and Charleston possibly in a consignee type of role ( I would like to understand the pricing structure furthermore the best approach to something like this?
